Lighting Return Policy
We offer a 45-day return window from the date a product is delivered. The item(s) must be in original, unused (no cut wires or scratches) condition and contained in original packaging. If you did not purchase the Redo service, then you are responsible for the cost of the return shipping label, plus a 20% restocking fee. If you did purchase the Redo service, then the cost of the return shipping label is free, but you are still responsible for the 20% restocking fee. Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, no returns are accepted after 45 days.
Hardware Return Policy
We offer a 30 day return window from the date a product is delivered. The product must be in original, unused condition and contained in its original packaging. If you did not purchase the Redo service, then you are responsible for the cost of the return shipping label, plus a 20% restocking fee. If you did purchase the Redo service, then the cost of the return shipping label is free, but you are still responsible for the 20% restocking fee. Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, no returns are accepted after 30 days
The following items are not eligible for returns:
- Bulbs
- Pillow Covers
- Sale items
- Expedite fees, custom color, and shipping fees
- Items customized with add-ons such as switches or cords (unless offered standard in the store)
- Items customized by request (i.e. part swap, mixed colors, etc.)
- Orders for 5 or more of the same light fixture SKU
- Orders for 10 or more of the same hardware SKU
After a return request has been approved, you have 14 days from the date the RMA # is issued to send the fixture back to us. After 14 days the return request will be closed, and the item(s) will no longer be eligible for return. Our return address is

What is Free Returns + Package Protection via Redo?
We now offer return protection for all orders called Redo, which you can purchase at checkout via the checkout+ link. If you purchase Redo + Package Protection with your order, your return shipping label is covered! You can return any eligible item(s) in your order for free. Redo covers all items in the cart; you do not need to purchase Redo for each item.
This also fully protects your order from any lost, damaged or stolen items.
If you choose not to buy Redo, you can still return items, but you be responsible for the cost of the return shipping label.
By declining package protection, Dutton Brown is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
Free returns via Redo must follow all guidelines listed within the return policy. Items must be returned within the designated return window. To be eligible for a refund, items must be in new condition, uninstalled and their original packaging. Final-sale and special discounted items are not eligible for free returns.
*Please note a 20% restocking fee will still apply to the final refund amount.
Refunds
Once your return is delivered, it will be inspected within 1-3 business days. If the item and all parts are found to be in their original condition, then your refund will be processed in accordance with our return policy. Refunds may only be issued back to the original method of payment related to the order. Shipping is non-refundable. Please allow an additional 2-3 days for any refunds to be processed by your credit card company.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges. Products that meet return criteria may be returned, and a new order may be placed for the desired item.
